Was posted on facebook by Jeff Reavis, who is the builder, i suggested he put pics of the build, and that way we could see the parts if they come o the open market.

I did the same thing. Once I saw you had to join, I just closed it. I am curious as well though. The parts are worth more then the whole in my opinion.

Wait, that blue 90 with the over saturated pic was stolen? Wasn't it for sale in the FS section last week?

Kind of funny the auctionnis still up on eBay.
This would be a good way to drive up attention to this truck.

Seller responded to a question and didn't say it was not for sale. It's painted with a semi textured raptor coat, guessing a rhino liner type stuff.
Shouldn't be hard to ID the panels if it was stolen.

When these things get 'stolen' I don't believe it, there isn't any way to transport them, the second hand parts market is TINY and the investment and potential insurance claim is massive.

I mean just drive it to your friends garage, park it, part it, and collect insurance (because lets be honest this truck will never get to the $47K asking price). Not saying for sure that happened here, just saying it wouldn't be the first time

What gets me is why anyone would re-body a 90 with a puma body and not turn it into a lhd? The top price for a RHD 90 in the USA is in the $25-30k region.

Bright blue, potentially illegal 90, stolen. I'm not saying thieves in KS are budding rocket scientists, but I don't know if you could have stolen a worse vehicle. That raptor paint isn't coming off so there goes the entire body. So maybe 10k in parts and chassis, max. Seems like a lot of work. I certainly would be checking in with CPB first.

Let me get this straight. You guys think I sent a TDCI clone into US customs and they cleared it. Then I made a fraudulent insurance claim that is going to pay me less than I could sell it for outright. You guys are a bunch of assholes.
I had spoken to some of you on facebook about importation laws. I have over 100 defenders in this country under my belt and as many containers of parts. I know the laws and loopholes well. most of you barely know what you have been told or read on the internet.
I have also imported almost every make and model of car that is sought after in the states. attached is The customs clearance for the blue one in question. So you all can talk about how i made it in word and its not real. The reason its not lest hand drive is I have had the dash and cc box collecting dust in the back of my shop for almost 2 years. Most of the parts on this are just stuff I had laying around. Its a td5 tub not a puma. Its only on there because I had it and I was swapping chassis. I buy wrecked Pumas at insurance auctions and ship the parts home. I have a 1000sf building for parts. I am a private person and this is what I do for work. Attacking me and a build I did out of junk from my shop is almost funny to me. I dont think I have ever found a thread hating on any of my other builds even 90-100k 110s I have done. Get a life guys

so where are the examples of these awe inspiring builds polished with diapers and sprinkled with fairy dust?

Could really careless but why not add cannon fodder to this clusterfuck

Depends, if you had an agreed value policy for around $47,000 (your price for "buy it now" the first time) and it only bid up to $30,800 the first time, and $15,100 the second (bidding possibly cancelled due to the theft?). I was never a math major, and I'm not saying you had anything to do with the theft, simply pointing out a flaw in the argument.

The insurance is a commercial lot policy. I am going to get fucked royally.
As for examples I dont have any handy on this computer. nor am i feeling inclined To prove anything to any of you. I am not a huge picture taker.
I have been a car dealer for 10 years and couldn't show you pictures of any cars, boats, or planes past last week.
Like I said I am a private guy. I buy, rebuild, title, and sell what I like. I dont buy for other people or source cars for others. I dont sell a lot of the parts I bring in either. I am just another defender guy not wanting a group of guys bashing my build in a small community that I try and help out in as much as I can. P.S it was that shitty blue color raptor when It got here. Couldn't get it off so I sprayed the whole car over with another coat of raptor in as close as color to cover the red tub and primer hood and doors. This is not my best build or worst. I hate 90s so its not the best work I have ever done. But it is or was a super nice driving, decent looking and solid defender I put together in 10 weeks almost by myself
