High resolution pictures below! Hello, up for sale is a one of a kind defender.

This Land Rover has been 90% overhauled to TDCI parts. All work done to the vehicle was performed in Kansas City. A lot of the parts had to be imported from england, where the car is originally from.

The actual vin number is: SALLDVAR7FA408264

IF you have any questions about the car feel please free to message me or call / txt me. # is at the bottom of the description.

PROS:
Galvanized frame - td5 style rear crossmember - Purchased in England and shipped over.

All three doors are galvanized purchased from Rovers North.

Dashboard out of a 2012 - all the gauges work, etc (well worth the exaggerate money spent, makes

the car feel brand new - not like a 1990 at ALL)

Heater Blower motor out of a TDCI so it blows fast and hot. No A/C.

PUMA (TDCI) style hood.

5 Brand new Falken WildPeak A/TM3 33" tires. (less then 50 miles since they were installed)

Keyless entry!

Some of the ebay add got cut off
Motor is a 300TDI out of a 1998 discovery with a BRAND NEW head gasket. (well - 400 miles ago)

Transmission is a r380 5 speed out of the same 1998 discovery. (it shifts smoother then my BMW)

Clutch was recently replaced when head gasket was done.

5 - 18" Sawtooth wheels. Full size spare wheel and tire.

Spare wheel carrier. (not cheap!)

Was just painted Blue with thinned and tinted raptor paint.

2" lift to fit the tires.

Newly fitted Projector Headlights

50" Lightbar - is secured to the bumper by two bolts and a clip - EASILY removable. I use it when I am going out at night for camping or something similar.

6 months ago I replaced all of the seats. Front seats are XS half leather.
rear seats are Forward facing XS half leather that fold up into the window area.

Recently (last week lol) took the back seats out and put it all new carpet and padding underneath for sound deadening purposes.

Speakers sound great, radio works just as it should. If the battery happens to die the radio has taken me 5 tries to get it to take the code, but it works!

Masai Panoramic "glasshouse" rear windows.

Upgraded turbo last year with turbo back straight pipe.

Step Bars and so much more to list that I can not think of right now.

Starts every time, needs nothing but a new driver.

Have receipts for everything.... tons of paperwork on her.

CONS:
One small dent in the front fender. TRUE miles are truly unknown with all of the added and new parts / motor / frame / body panels and doors / dash, etc. The dashboard reads 140,000km which would roughly be 85,000 miles - but that's only the dash. She has always been METICULOUSLY taken care of. if something needed to be fixed - I upgraded it. No waiting around. If you can't tell by looking at her and notice there is not a spec of rust on the car.

If you live near me please feel free to come take her for a spin and check her out! I live in Overland Park, Kansas. Please contact me if you have any questions at all - I'm a very friendly person lol! 913-602-6018

Are they selling galvanized old style doors now, or did you take the skins off and galvanize the frames?

Doesn't look like a galvy frame to me? 07 on the frame might mean something? Paint looks good from a distance but is like a bed liner material up close. Over spray on the door strikers and in engine bay. No USA plates. Rear tub sides are different. Glass or something?

07 on the frame means the frame was built in 2007

its a puma 07 chassis, a puma complete body and axles, basically its a puma with a discovery 300 engine and box.

It's fishy...

Not a Puma tub (it's not stepped in the rear). Rear seats look Exmoor, rear seatbelt are in the wrong location for a Puma as well.

Bulkhead isn't Puma either, it's got vent flaps. Only reason it's got the Disco transmission//transfer case is so that the R380 shifter sits back far enough from the dash to operate.

Have to wonder why if you are going to go to this expense, especially with paint, why not fill the dents in the front right fender? It's about 15 minutes of additional work.

What's up with the snorkel in the wing and the intake being a cone filter on the other side of the engine? That truck raises all sorts of questions actually.

We don't sell galvanized doors.

I regret starting this thread. Seen enough here and elsewhere to make me wish I hadn't posted.

You shouldn't regret posting this originally. The whole idea of this site is to share knowledge, experience and ideas. I'm pretty sure people reading this thread will learn something from the comments posted here. We all know there's a lot of BS out there when it comes Defenders, and what has been done to some of them. If we can help point out some of the things to look for, or things that we have observed based on our experience, then that's a step in the right direction to helping others.

Changed the title. I agree, you should never regret a thread like this. Outing these kinds of shenanigans is great education for our readers who are new to Defenders and it's healthy for the community.

to be convinced I'd need to see pics of the chassis swap and engine change.
I'm originally from KC area and I know a couple of people that could pull off this work but based on the paint and some other questionable things I'm not sure they are behind this truck. I too would want proof that the work was done stateside as it raises so many flags. This reminds me of a truck that was for sale last year in the Austin area to this day I'm not sure how it got into the country.
