Starting switch help

Can anyone guide me about these loose connections at start switch? Tried to look at wiring diagram but having a hard time interpreting. The GY and W look like they need to be on starter switch, but not sure what they do or where to connect. Running fine without.

Also, when ignition turns off, my gauges do not turn off, ie, fuel and battery, temp all continue to read. This has caused s slow draw on battery - left me w a weak battery after a week of vacation. On the daily no issue.

Of you have a three way dome light switch try flipping it , it also forces on the gauges

I would suggest you get a wiring diagram for that truck, Green/yellow where does that go to? the white wire should be a switched power. Scotchblocks need to be removed and wiring correctly.

I have a diagram, but only GY I see is for heater, which doesn’t make sense to me why it would be attached to ignition switch. Heater works, so far as I can tell... it IS 100 degrees in NC though

Still chasing electrical Gremlins. Found this red wire tied in to brown in fuse box, clearly meant to be permanent rig. No fuse attached at that point. Wire has been run under dash to stearing switches and plugged in to green on wiper motor switch. Noticed that when i manipulate this, all gauges/lights, ignition turn off. I've detached, and now nothing will turn on. Grreat.
