Speedometer adapter from Defender to Land Cruiser transfer case?

So I have a 1986 110 Land Rover Defender but do not have the speedometer cable attached. The speedometer cable needs to adapt from the Land Rover Defender into a Toyota Land Cruiser transfer case. Believe it is a FJ40 or FJ45 case.

This is the cable end coming from the Defender speedometer.

Here is the transfer case end that we need to mate into.

Is there a 'simple' adapter?

I guess one issue could be if calibration is way off and 100 kph/mph only shows as 10 kph/mph etc., but are there any other concerns?

Much appreciate the help.

Don't know how to exactly help out, but I would just get a Landcruiser cable and speedometer. They are't expensive and more readily available and higher quality than LR stuff.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I could try just a Landcruiser cable. That is a good idea. I assume it will just screw on to the back of the stock Land Rover speedometer. But you are right maybe the adapter and a new Speedo is a better way.

I doubt it. Just buy a VDO electronic speedo. The stock Lucas gauges are complete crap.

Of course it needs to be asked. Why would you put in a LC transfer case?

Thanks. FIgured I would get that question.... No good answer, just the direction that was taken.
