Snorkel

I'm collecting parts for a snorkel. The tubular type with the mushroom top.

First, if anyone has any parts, let me know.
Second, given that this is a LHD with heater box on the right, and the other wing top vent way over on the left, what is the best way to get from the filter/intake to the exterior?
Third, sans snorkel, is there any merit to the idea of simply getting a proper diameter hose, then routing it over to the top of the wheel well where it could at least be sucking in cooler air, and not be pointed right down to where the water level, twice now, has gotten to. (Luckily, both times I was moving, so no water was actually ingested. But if the vehicle had come to a stop at that point, that intake opening on the bottom of the filter housing would have been underwater.)

I have a snorkel as you describe. On mine, there is a flex hose that runs from the air cleaner opening (on the right) and under the intake hose over to the left fender cut out. I can take a photo if it helps.

Here are a couple of shots of the hose. I think the routing is pretty much dealer's choice, but this keeps it out of the way.

Cool. But I've got the 300Tdi... I should have said that. Seems about the same type of route though.

What type of hood liner do you have? Looks better than the stuff I ended up with that I'm just going to used someplace else.

What are your thoughts on going with a Donaldson cyclone instead of the cheapo one that comes with it? Overkill for your applications?

Bearmach has the top 25 products 25% off right now. The 300tdi snorkel is $90 + ship. is this what your are after, at least for exterior?

Wonder if that pipe will connect to the left side wing vent... It looks like the type that goes into the side of the wing, not the top.

NAKATENGA makes a series of these that could be modified to fit your application:

One example

Jason Lav can help you out, I ended up not using one because I don’t drive in dusty conditions (only real reason I can think for having one) because if I am fording water up to my airbox on the 300TDI I am probably above my pay grade.
