Kind of cool place, have a couple trips down there, first time wearing a blue beret, than two years doing seismic work. Are the two Ladies still running the Globe pub? Seems I spent more time in there than having hot dinners.
I don't know
We only had one short landing in the Falklands. There was a storm coming in and the Captain decided to sail early to get a head of it and make a run for the leeside of South Georgia Island. We made it there just as the storm hit

Not as cool as Surveyor's pics, but I stopped in the Sherwin Williams paint store today & they were showing videos of Traxxax remote control Defenders on the TV, so I took a few pics, then I noticed an employee outside taking pics of mine. He's in an RC club & was on the phone telling his buddy he just sent a pic of a real one!
Too funny.

It's a Howler Bros hat (https://howlerbros.com/ ). I think this is the older colorway... there is a light blue version too. They don't seem to have it as a current item. I found it in stock or at least it appears to be in stock on these sites:

The Howler Bros hats are nice. I've owned 2. They have different colors in limited runs from time to time, but the light blue is the standard one. My initials are BH so people always comment on my cool custom hat! How little they know... Edit: Just don't think to much about the physics of the surfboard stuck through the rear door and it's a great hat.

LOL! I have thought of that from time to time. Or the axe and paddle grabbing and ripping off every branch and vine it comes in contact with! It's a nice graphic.

Thanks Doug,
I have been very fortunate and count myself as one of the lucky one to be able to take these adventures.
I am fortunate my wife is totally on board with it all, helping with the logistics and when the trip requires co- drives and navigates. She is also the trip photographer.

Just watched the Dirt Everyday Extra with the super cool Heritage Driven 130 from Overland Expo. Very cool and the thing of lottery dreams.

Thanks. I emailed them and they said they do not have it anymore but I'll check out those other sites.

Thanks

Been driving around France and Germany for almost two weeks now, and although I have not really any good photos, I’ve noticed a few things: first, there are really very few neater Defenders about. Second, the Germans love them! And so do French farmers in Normandy. Third, I’ve seen five GWagens, all stock, but more than 20 outfitted Defenders. Fourth, no Nufender prototypes yet, but I did find this 2020 Aston Martin DBS prototype in the parking for our hotel in Füssen this evening. Finally, I saw my first Kahn Defender, and I actually liked it!

While at my town's trash center I met another Defender owner who had just bought his truck. It's 1992 Tdi that's spent its life in Spain and South Africa
