So, I got mine in the mail.

Wondering if anyone else has one, tips on installation, and any ideas on how to put it to full use. That is, I'm thinking it might provide good mounting for interior LED, webbing across the ceiling for soft items, mounting for fire extinguisher, etc...?

Only seen one similar set up installed. Seats and carpet removed.
They got the B and C pillar hoops in, then bolted up the horizontal bars. Then positioned it correctly. Marked the places to drill. Then disassembled and removed it before drilling holes.
Then put everything back in.

That's what I was figuring to do. The PDF I found has instructions, but....

I had a cage built by Challenger 4x4 when I was living in the UK. I will try to get some pics. Similar design as this but with diagonal cross in the C pillar position and connected to another at D pillar. All points connect to the frame nicely. Here's what my C hoop looks like but this is in a 90.

I had wire mesh a la dog guard on each triangle of that hoop with the top on removeable by wing nuts and seat belt mounts welded onto it necause my truck never had rear belts. Super easy to hand whatever you want off of it.

Nice cage. Don't forget to install padding on the front hoop it is only inches from your head. Easy to do and will save your skull in a side impact. If you don't want to make fancy covers for the foam there is a neoprene version that is cheap and looks decent. If you can't find it I have a link somewhere. Pic borrowed from ECR

Yeah, I've been looking for options for that.

I could just wear a bike helmet!

Not sure. The forward half, certainly, but whether it integrates exactly with the forward part of the internal cage, I cannot answer. Probably would need to email them.

Have you made any headway on install? I have this cage but it also extends to the rear cargo area..so a third hoop and crossbars. Haven’t been able to tackle it yet.

Yes. Mine is in. The key to making it work right is to pre-position multiple times till you know you’ve got the layout right and squared. The drilling sucks, but isn’t as bad as you might first think. An angle air drill might work better than what I had.

I also used ratchet straps to put tension on the hoops to get them in place. And clamps to hold.

I had my son help me move it in and out a few times, but you can do it on your own.

I had this cage in a ROW110 years ago. Loved the look. It does absorb the interior a bit, especially with padding. You’ll want to get it all in place before you commit to too many add-on goodies.
