Rust and what to do

What to do about this rust misery that showed itself after this winter. Any product or action I can take. Don’t want the expense of a body shop Thanks for any replies. Or go ahead and tell me a body ship has to address it

I don't have good news for you, rust is like an iceberg, what you see is just the top of it.
IF you want to try to slow it as much as possible, you're going to have to dig/grind/wirewheel as much of it out as possible. Then use a rust reformer like naval jelly, ospho, etc. Then paint it with something like eastman paint. Then fill it to make it the right shape again if necessary, then paint it back to the matching color. Even then you're just buying time. I'd assume the other side is about the same condition too.

Thanks for your honest response. I was hoping there was some product I could paint on it to slow it down . I guess it’s not that easy. Just to slow it down for a few more years. The LR3 looks good and I’ve put parts on it to keep it rolling nice. Rust when doors open makes a fella sad

I'd sand down and cover with Por15 then top coat color. You'll never see rust on the outside again. As far as the inside I'd see if there is a port hole underneath/backside..or make one and get a wand sprayer in there to address the inside. I'd spray with Fluid Film..assuming it's hollow like some are.

Stop it is my goal. With doors closed cannot see rust. I’ll like too keep At bay for a few more years given the new suspension parts sensors and half axles Ive done on this truck
