Any interest here in these products? I know they will not ship direct to the USA, so we are thinking of carrying their range.

I looked into this as one of the US dealers I supply wants to get hold of them, their products are far superior to most others on the market.

But feel free to get your own made up.

There are a lot of things a local can do, but one of the problems I've found is that while many of them weld well, they seem to have the design sense of my Jack Russell.

The DII bumper here looks really pretty nice.

Personally, I would not be ordering anything. I have a couple of locals that I'll be going to to get my sliders made up.

I guess it depends on price. Anyone that knows their stuff and is looking for it will make the effort to get it. But the average Joe isn't going to know the difference between their Defender bumper and the Terrafirma bumper on RN.

Years ago there was just RN and Southdown sliders. It was a specialize item. Since then many custom companies here in the US have popped up. Plus the part consolidation companies like Bearmach.
I would say it's hard to make a go of these types of products now.

Yep it's all down to money. $500 crap bumpers will sell based on price but well made with a good design won't because the trucks are getting to cheap and so are the owners.

Bottorf sold the hell out of his hideous bumpers based on being $400, of course only a few people ever got one.

Won't know prices until I visit them in two weeks time. Then i will put together a price list. There will be a discount available for multiple purchases, and also a trade discount system.

Eventually we will produce a new e-commerce section on the new globallandrovers.com site that's being done to sell these parts.

I'm also waiting to packaging weights and dims to get shipping quotes to cover the USA and Canada.

Maybe it's just me, but I dont like the tube bumpers on a Defender.

I prefer the old style ARB.

I like those designs for the rear crossmember/bumper replacement but that's more commitment than most people want.
They just want to bolt a bumper on.

Why won't someone make some decent quarter panel guards for the D90 ala Jack Quinlan?

Im with you, don't like tube bumpers on a Defender, save them for Jeeps. But I really like the rear bumper he has a picture of. Looks original, with wrap around corners and heavy enough for tow rings.
