ROW dual tanks

Hey all - I've got a 1992 LHD ROW 90 200TDI & I'm interested in adding a second fuel tank. Has anyone seen a good writeup or suggestion of the best way to execute?

As this is my first post, I'll attach a picture of it as well.

That looks like it is for a TD5 with a rear mounted tank. I'm not sure who makes something for a D90 with a side mounted tank. I have a Safari Equip aux tank, but it is a fill through tank to the rear mounted factory tank.
The fuel filler location tells me its a ROW Tdi with no rear tank like the NAS/Tdci.

I'd go with the rear fuel tank either NAS type or aftermarket like Safari Equip. http://www.safari-equip.co.uk/index.php/defender-90-tdi-rear-tank-steel.html .

If you want to go crazy range then add their rear wheelarch tank as well. I just did that and its killed the range anxiety issue I had.

Why couldn't a NAS 90 rear tank be fitted in a ROW 90 ?
What occupies that empty space in the rear of a ROW 90 between the rear cross member & the axle ?

Probably nothing. You might have to add some mounts for the fuel tank cradle, but then you would need to address where the filler neck would go.

I'm in the process of putting a TD5 tank in the rear of my ROW 90. I have been gathering some parts to complete the install in one go. I'll get some picks once I have everything together. There is some cutting a fabrication if you go this route.

Google "Fitting a TD5 Auxiliary fuel tank into a TDI 90"

A guy on the Landyzone did this install and documented it pretty well. I copied the big parts but will have some key differences.
