Round Offroad Lights

I am on the hunt for round offroad lights for my 1997 Prado. I am leaning towards something period correct such as KC Daylighters, Hella Black Magics or the cartoon huge Lightforce 240 Blitz. Any thoughts?

Favorite of all time were the IPF 930 super rallye. May still be available. Brilliantly bright at 170w….
The IPF 901 might make a decent alternative as well if you have the backspacing to accommodate them.
Of your three choices, the Hella Black Magic would my preferred one.

I'd really like to add some to the Perentie ... but I really don't want to put any holes in the ARB-ish bumper, and I'm not having any luck finding a clamp for the 1.375" crossbar... ???

Here is a local to me company that makes super high quality, 1.375 clamps amongst many other sizes. I have used many of their products over the years.

4000 are great lamps, but large. The front end of that Prado looks small. If you find the 4000 are too big, there's also the 4000 Compact, 3000, 1000, 700, and 500. Several come in a FF (Free Form reflector) version that is more efficient.

I'd been thinking about these for a project in the planning stages..... Lamp Clamp But yours look really nice.
I have a set of those Nilight clamps (or at least something that looks exactly the same), and the inner threads stripped out fairly quickly. They're nice, but they never gave me a bombproof feeling despite being really solid aluminum.

Thanks Dave!

I've seen the LampClamp and the KC mounts...the rubber / plastic insert bits seem a less than ideal solution to varaible sizes ...

Back to the original question ...

I had three Hella 4000's on the old Disco with a SG bumper ... never lacking for nighttime vision :)

That’s what have been using for years on my D1 and 110. Best quality…solid aluminum. Those other clamps (not the kc) mentioned are no bueno sorry. I have those too and they don’t really fit well, the rubber insert sucks and degrade and if you don’t remove the bolt periodically and lather it with anti seize, (even doing this still sticks ) it will seize and you have to break off the bracket to remove it. Stick to the AxiaAlloy👍🏽
