Anyone have a go to place for 3.9 V8? I got a set off ebay and they sucked. Truck ran like crap after installing them. Had another set from a place in NY and it ran good but one of them leaked so the fuel line wouldnt hold pressure. The Bosch OEMs are like 800 bucks so that is a no go.

I’ve sent a few sets out to be cleaned. It costs like $15 per injector. The original ones last a really long time, so I prefer keeping them vs getting new replacement parts that are of questionable quality

I bought a set of reman'd Bosch 4 holes for my 3.9 from CS Performance. They looked great and really made a difference in how the truck ran. I also bought them off eBay.

Yep, that's them. It's a bit of a PITA to replace them since you have to remove the top half of the intake manifold to remove the fuel rail, but otherwise they slipped right in. Notice an immediate improvement over my old, worn out Lucas injectors.

Oh I am getting pretty good at removing/installing them. I bought one set that leaked and then one set that was clogged or something so looking at my third install now. Waiting to hear if the first company is going to replace the leaky set. If not then CSP.

Just installed them this summer.

CS Performance Fuel Injection
OEM Bosch UPGRADE Fuel Injectors Set (8) for 89-98 Land Rover 3.9 4.0 4.2 4.6 V8

Noticable improvement. Having said that, there is something to be said for the reliability of less efficient parts - one big hole is less likely to clog than 4 small ones.

Which ones did you buy that leak and clogged?

Well the leaking ones came from a shop I got the name off of another Defender site. Dont want to out them until they answer about replacing them. The other ones were cheap ones off eBay. Not sure the seller.

So the leaking ones came from South Bay Fuel Injectors. I sent them back. Just talked with the owner and he confirmed one was leaking. Went through all eight and cleaned and tested them and is sending them back. Seems like a pretty good guy and it was no charge to me. So overall happy with their service. Gotta give props where props are due.
