Right. That option would be to use new shafts and stubs and it would cost about $1000.

I'm taking the truck out for one day of fun before basically the rest of the summer is taken with trying to do the drum brake conversion!

But I ran across this just now, and... well.... I want to see if you all hear this the same way I do:

What? The comment that they are better for off road? Most people would not agree. Drums trap mud and this causes them to wear quickly. Discs self clean better.

I guess the question should be what do you think you are getting as an improvement by doing this and is the cost and time worth it?
