Puma hood

I am working on a ls swap, and my clearance is real tight, I am contemplating going with a puma hood. I see fiberglass as well as metal options. Rovers north has one that looks to be steel? Would you guys go with fiberglass or metal. If metal, where they originally steel? Thanks

original is aluminum, i a have one buddy with a fiberglass one and it seems just fine, he has it lined with foam to reduce noise.


I personally would do metal if I was in your position

have heard comments about cracking of the FG ones. Mine is steel - at least the understructure is. A bit heavy, but very solid.
