Pulsating trailer lights, LR3

I have a 2006 LR3, when I plug in my new adventure trailer the trailer lights pulsate. Researching this I found that the computer on the LR3 sends micro voltage through the trailer's lights to detect a burnt out bulb and detect that a trailer is connected so it can program the transmission shifting accordingly. The new trailer has LED lights which don't have the correct internal resistance to absorb the micro voltage hence the lights pulsating. Searching the web I found a couple fixes. One was a plug in adapter made by Reese that did nothing. The other was a wiring diagram where resistors were place in series and relays. Attached is the wiring diagram and a picture of what I built into the trailer's wiring system. All this seam way overkill but I couldn't find an other way. It did fix the pulsating, good. All lights work as designed, good. The LR3 only recognizes a trailer being connected when the turn signals are on. The green trailer icon on the dash only illuminates when the turn signals are activated. The turn signal light on the dash flashes and also the green trailer icon flashes. Don't know what to think of that. Anyway for us LR3 owners its a good discussion.
