thanks! that still leaves me wondering about the future....if I choose to go 3.75 to get lower LOW.....hmmmmm

I havent posted much - waiting on the R2.8....but I sure have been planning the demise of my savings account!
BTW - I noticed your fuse box on GRETA....is that stock? Do you happen to have/know part numbers? I am very envious!

I have been spending my time cleaning up electrical and front end, master cylinders and such.... the previous owner focused more on the exterior and appearance before mechanical. In going through electrical - I have learned all the color combos....and realized how bad most of the grounds are.... I am considering upgrading the fuse box to something more modern...but that may lead to new wiring.....
Also - while related to Project Stella - I would love to see more / as much detail as possible in regards to motor mounts / measurements, welds ,etc......that is an areas that no one has really documented.

Try using Ashcroft’s gear calculator to play around and find good RPM ranges for your desired application. https://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/calc/ratio_calc.html

thanks @MountainD
I have been spending alot of time with their calculator as well as the cummins calculator....probably what has been leading to all my overthinking.
After watching @Norton racing the 911.....I may just go with 1.2. trying to figure out where a good rpm figure (power and mpg) is for 75mph is the hard part.

so, I made the call....ended up going with 1.2....and added the ATB goodies.
Thanks for the calculator links - great help.... I figured that he 1.1 vs 1.2 difference would be small (similar to changing tire diameter). I chose 1.2 as that was what most were doing AND happy with.

Greta out and about in Newport this weekend. 2.8 is running strong no issues to date. Still need to add some updated speakers someday but listening to this straight piped little beast isn’t half bad.

Decided to blow off some steam Friday with the crews with a little Beers and Burnout get together. Well one thing led to another when someone in the crowd chirped "Bet that Defender can't do a burnout" - hold my beer while we do a few quick mods.

Probably not recommended but it was fun and good for a few laughs.
