Power steering box seals

Dammit. If its not one thing it’s another. While dealing with the rear axle....this leak appears... swear it wasn’t there before. Input seals on the power steering box are toasted after 24 years. The others probably won’t be far behind.
This is going to be expensive. Got to look at the practical cost of repair be replacement..
What are your recommendations?

Check w/ Robert Davis...he had a line on rebuilt boxes for fairly reasonable, I forget the whole scenario.

If it's left hand drive you have a plethora of options. Pick-n-Pull junk yards eBay RockAuto.

If it's right hand drive you're kind of up shit creek because they're expensive as hell

Rebuild kit is cheap but if it needs to be bushed or anything like that you're not going to be able to do it at home

I used to be someone who would hand over $600-plus dollars for a rebuilt steering box. No more. It's so easy to reseal/rebuild that it's just stupid to pay for it. Get the genuine reseal kit. I would be happy to loan you the puller to get the arm off, which is the worst part of it. The procedure is covered in the manual.

I bought a Corteco kit, assuming it was the OEM for LR. Is the LR kit better or just bagged better?
