Power Steering Box Seal Replacement

I'm skipping the time it took me and ALL the cursing portion of this work and go to the meats and potatoes...

This is how I did it:

Tools you'll need:

Beers
Hook And Picks
19mm
34mm
Philips Screw Driver
Zip Ties
Drill
(2) screws
Rags
Oil Pan
Front End Service Kit Tools (Free Rental at Advance Auto https://tinyurl.com/yah27onc )

Parts Needed:

More Beers
STC2848 - Land Rover Steering Box Seal Kit
PS Fluid or Tranny Fluid

Optional if you screw up the exisitng ones:
STC874 Lock Washer
NT614041L Nut

Removal of the old parts:

1. Disconnect the steering damper from the crossrod arm and secure it with the zip ties.
2. Disconnect the drag link and pit arm.
3. Remove the 34mm nut and lock washer.
4. Remove the drop arm.
5. Remove the dust seal.
6. Remove the circlip.
7. VERY CAREFUL... Drill two holes to the seal backup.
8. Screw-in the two screws and remove the seal backup with the pit arm removal tool.
9. Using the hooks and picks remove the washer backup. (shitty cardboard)
10. Using the hooks and picks remove the seal. (rubber seal)
11. Clean up everything and get the new parts ready...

The installation was easy... Sorry no pics.

1. Install new seal (2).
2. Install new seal backup (washer seal) (3).
3. Install new circlip (5).
4. Install new dust seal (4).
5. Put the the drop arm back.
6. Put the lock washer and 34mm nut.
7. Re-connect the drag link and pit arm.
8. Re-connect the steering damper from the crossrod arm.

One less shit to leak... Hope this helps.
