Wow, my neighbor ran into me yesterday on my way home ... no, she actually Ran InTo me !
She was at a stop sign, I was turning left onto the street where she was stopped.
She looked at me ... obviously knows the Perentie ... with its headlights on.
I got almost all the way onto the side street and WHAMMM was hit in the left rear and spun around to face the direction I was coming from!?!?
WTF anyway !
Well, I had thought I was going to flop over for a second, managed to steer and avoid that ... even pressed in the clutch and brake and stopped sideways in the street.
Okay, so far so good.
Backed up and parked at the curb...looked behind me and saw a mostly intact X5 in the middle of the t-intersection....bits of plastic, parking sensors, and bumper supporting Styrofoam all over the place.
Called 911, that was interesting, never done that before, told them I was okay, had no idea about the other vehicle occupants, and please send a patrol guy.
Patrol guy arrives, talks with her for a minute ... I really didn't even want to look at the body damage until he was there ...
Then the guy comes over to me and we walk around the left side of the 110 ...
The only damage looks like a small bent section of the Wolf rim lip and scarring, missing plastic rivets on the fender eyebrow!
I'm off to the alignment shop next week, but so far so good.
...edit... sorry forgot to say she whacked me right in the left rear wheel...no body damage I can see so far.
Patrol guy says, "well today I learned buy an old Land Rover not a new BMW"
