Right on... I've done a lot of research and made good connections if you need any info or help sourcing stuff. Stay away from DPUK. Lots of bad press about the quality and customer service.
I've got most everything to do the swap, just need to get an adapter to R380 and a 603 pump. I'm aiming for the same power numbers as it's by no means a race truck.

K2 took over from gazfab making r380 adapters. I highly recommend them.... Good guys and very easy to deal with...

Yeah on a local buddies here who has left hand drive he has 200 TDI mounts. Had to make an extra idler pulley to move the serpentine belt up off of the steering box. Engine sits a lot further back in that configuration

Which transmission is he running?

No, it's a dpuk build. Think like 300hp 475tq ? Can't recall
I hope it works out for him. DPUK has a poor reputation in dealing with any issues/honesty. Do you know if he is using the original air conditioning pump or the Mercedes one?

He was going to be using the one that he got from DPUK which was a modern style pump. Ended up changing it out for the Mercedes one that came original on a 617 I believe.

I think the reason he ended up using the original Merc style pump is that he will be running two evaporators. The guy who's doing the work for him said that the merc pump will be able to support to evaporators and cycle less even though it is less efficient.

I tires to convince him to go to a high capacity sanden but it's $$$

So currently the transmission crossmember and therefore my three link are being modified to work with the new setup. The transmission is longer than stock so the transfer case mounts need to be pushed back some. Looks like I will be replacing the rear driveshaft as well. Not sure yet.
