I realize this might be a long shot.
I've rebuilt my oil pump on my 3.5L V8 defender. I was having very low oil pressure problems. I bought the booster plate and adjustable pressure kit from TA performance. My low oil pressure problems appears to be solved.
However, I have a serious oil leak on the bottom of my oil pump, coming from the ottom bolt. The brass one in the center of the photo, with the oil drop forming. Currently there is a brass bolt installed, but it was very loose. I don't think it is the correct one. When I removed it, it had a serious amount of teflon tape. When I reinstalled it, I put a normal amount of teflon tape on it, but it is still leaking. There's no point in measuring the thread pitch of the brass, because it is not quite right.
I've looked at multiple parts diagrams, and can't find a clear part number for the bolt and the sealing washer.
Does anyone know the part number? I think it is part number 273166.
Does anyone know the diameter and thread pitch? All I can find online is for diesel engine variants. It might be 1/2" 20 UNF?
