Need a quality starter solenoid 300Tdi

Any ideas about where to get a good one ?
Trying to stay away from any China cheeze units.
The starter is 19 years old, cleaned it once years ago.
Has about 177,000 miles on it.
Thankfully I had a new starter on hand from Robert Davis, so my down time was minimal, had to wait for the engine too cool down.
Glad these things are easy to access and very few tools required to get it off.

Any leads ?

Really not much to gain by putting a solenoid on a 20 year old starter. The motor will still be 20 years old and worn out...bearings, brushes, commutator.

Installed a new starter that I have on hand in the truck. I'm running a Zf4hp22, so push starting is out of the question. A used functioning starter would be able to get me back to civilization in a pinch ;)

The original 300 Tdi OEM starter is Denso. Search for that. 👍🏻
Mine has BOSCH stamped on the unit as well as Made in Spain & a Landrover oval emblem and the part number ERR5009 but all that doesn't preclude it being made in a Denso factory. The solenoid has no markings.

Got a new BOSCH solenoid (STC1245G) from LR Direct. Ordered on Tuesday evening pacific coast time.
It left the UK at 2:30PM Wednesday, was in my Arizona Mail box by 1PM Friday. Perfect fit.
Shipper DHL/ USPS.
How's that for service :giggle:
