NAS Roll cage

I have a 94 D90 NAS, according to the register it was a soft top but at some point it was converted to hard top. Would like to convert it looking for NAS roll cage if anyone has one or knows where to get it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There were a number of 94's that we're converted from soft to hardtops in the US. Known as "port of entry" or POE trucks.
Yours could be one of those.

I have a 94 POE truck. They have a hard top, but none of the interior trim. They have the roll bar structure and mounts, but lack the interior hoop. The arms on the A-bar simply attach to the top.

Used NAS soft top roll cages are available from time to time, but they can be pricey, and the foam is often bad. Safety Devices has several versions of the cage, but it will not be exactly like the original NAS ones.

There are lots of folks on here with parts hoards, so keep checking and also check Safari HP.

Good luck.

How can I check to see if it is one of the limited POE trucks? My truck also has all the lower mounts, but has no middle or back hoops.
Not too worried about the condition of the set, as long as it is a complete ...
Anyone has one, just reach out to me

One of the first ways is it appears all but 3 of the POE trucks were Coniston Green with a white top. They also have the split side and rear doors. I think there is a registry that shows them by serial number, but I can't find it right now. My badge number is 1511. Is yours near that?

The only Poe I know had no rear hoop and the roll cage over the windshield didn't have a brace on the inside at the B pillar.

Badge # 739 , AA yellow, split rear door, white top.

Was going to say, if it's a true '94 NAS, with a horizontally split rear door, it is a POE edition.
Probably one of the rarest NAS Defenders, don't know that I would modify it from original.

I wouldn't have a problem modifying a POE to either a ST or a true SW. Before I bought my SW I looked at a couple POEs and was concurrently looking for the SW internal roll bar to add.

While they might be rare, they are not particularly more valuable. They are stuck between the hard top (without internal roll bar and finishers) and a soft top with the doors but not the roll cage or top. I found a complete soft top cage from Rovers Down South and the internal hard top bar from Sal's parts hoard. RN provided the top, so I now switch back and forth based on the season.

The parts are out there, just have to see what pops up.

I like driving my truck, so having the option to switch from SW to ST is very appealing, being that I'm in central calif.
I'll keep looking... IMG_1342.JPGIMG_1463.JPG

I was in exactly the same position with mine and was lucky enough to have the parts fall in my lap. Keep watching the boards. I have seen 2 cages since I bought mine. The interior bar for the hardtop may be available new from Safety Devices.

I noticed you don't have a headliner either. I did put one in my hard top and it quieted the car down quite a bit. Might want to think about that.
