NAS 3.9 Fan Clutch Removal - which direction?

If anyone knows which direction the fan and clutch needs to spin to get the fan off please let me know. There are many videos for Discos but none for NAS 3.9 as far as I can tell. I have the tool to hold the pulley assembly off of the water pump and a wrench to spin the nut - I just don't want to risk any improper force in the wrong direction.

Typically, it was counterclockwise (right-hand thread) for serpentine-belt engines and clockwise (left-hand thread) for V-belt engines.
I can't figure out which one do you have - is it your engine photo?

If the belt goes over the pulley, the fan is left hand thread. If the belt goes under the pulley, the fan is standard thread. You want to turn that one as if you were tightening a bolt because it is left hand thread.

Thanks @pmatusov yes, that's my engine. I have spent two days trying to break it left/counterclockwise/up it does not go. the comment above about the 32mm nut is a new clue. I will reverse and go clockwise now. I can't tell you how many videos I've watched over the past FOUR days and they are amazingly different when one throws in the fan blade direction as a clue. I have the complete Defender 110 Manual and it is painfully silent - but of course, it is weak on 3.9 specifics too.

@Frobisher Your wisdom and recall just solved my deadheaded, conviction about the direction! Thanks to you and @pmatusov for your replies you have helped me tremendously. Brace the Pulleys to anchor them and knock the fan clutch nut to the right, clockwise direction for the 32mm nut on the NAS 110, 3.9 engine.

Glad to help out. It's always nice to share the wisdom I've gotten from much wiser and more experienced guys.
