Nas 110 owners what have you done to replace or fix your hazard switch? I searched for topics on this and nothing. If it wasn?t a square switch Carling would be an option but is there no solution to keep it original? That?s my main goal to try and keep it original if possible.
SafariHP said they have a switch but wants $500. That?s crazy!!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Is the problem with the Carling is it doesn?t fit or doesn?t match? If fitment is the issue it should be pretty easy to machine a piece of aluminum to make the transition. If you want it to match you?ll need to whatever the going rate is.

Both...Fitment and match. My hazard is square. I don?t think the length of the Carling will fit in the same spot plus it will look terrible. See pic.

I'm no expert... But those look like RRC switches. Maybe someone can chime in.

$500? You can have the one I have for $450. ;)

Sheesh... talk about mark-up!

I also have the two defrost switches.

What is wrong with the switch? It looks like it is not broken. Is there broken plastic behind it some place?

I have a standard hazard switch placement in my truck, below the steering wheel. So I could easily put the SDO Carling switch in place. It's very nice! My truck originally had a blank spot where these three switches are on the NAS 110s, and the dash panel that I got to replace my broken one from 1988 is an actual NAS dash panel; it has the three NAS style switches intact, unused.

I can see why he does not want to go over to the SDO type switch. The wiring would be a monster (it is not a simple on/off wiring set, and it may not be compatible with the NAS harness.) and the Carling switch simply would not fit that spot, nor would it look any good there.

The switches seem robust enough, but I could imagine that over time and use, they could have internal problems. I'd pull the dash (not too difficult, just be sure, 100% sure, you have it 100% unscrewed in all locations before trying to pop it out from the top edge first.) and double check that switch, even try to open it up to fix it, even take it to some kind of ninja monk expert to try to fix it, before actually trying to find a replacement.

Your only other option is to buy from someone like me, but I'd need to figure out a nice way of patching the hole before I'd let it go. But hey, make me an offer, it's just sitting there looking pretty right now.

Why not give Rimmer Bros a call on the switch, if it's in the BL parts bin they will know. You might have make a connector but if it's points you need there is a way.

Yes, same as RRC. Probably easiest to hit up a junk yard and get a used one.

They are the same set of switches, but the RRC did not have the hazard switch in that spot. At least mine didn't.

Try calling Lamorna Garage in Seattle, or Ship's Mechanical in Portland to see if they have any in a bin someplace. I know both of them have had NAS 110s come through, and at least one was a junker that got parted out.

What does the switch location have to do with finding a new switch? It is the same part number. Go to a junk yard that has a RRC and get a switch. There are tons of them in the junk yards.

I have these left over from my RRC. None are the hazard switch however if the back pins are the same one could be disassembled and redone with the haz front. (All of these have the same two pin configuration on the back).

If they are of use let me know.

It is the same part number, but I don't remember my '87 RRC, and I know my '93 did not have a hazard switch of this type, it was the same as an NAS 90, and in the same spot.

They do have the interior lights, front and rear defrost, and cruise control master in that spot, but not the hazard. So he might get lucky finding an early RRC.... '89? '90? in a junk yard with the switch. But I think his best bet is to get his repaired.

Right, none of them are hazard.

I might be interested in the blanking piece you have, those are unavailable as well.

I posted the RRC parts page above. All used the same hazard switch from 86 on.
