FWIW, just confirmed with Colony Tire in Norfolk. They have QTY of 90 in stock, never mounted, locked away in their secret lair. No group buy, no forum discount (I tried) and must buy from ebay, but can pick up and save shipping (just leave note in comments at checkout).

If anyone ever has a line on the 16 x 7.5, I'd probably be interested in 5 as unfortunately these wont fit my stock height 90. Hopefully this helps someone out, as it seems these are forged of special rubber from the off road gods. I am having a hard time not buying a set of 5 and hoarding them as all XZL fans seems to do.

Chris did a group buy for those before they were posted to eBay. I think they were $200/tire then.

I got my 7.5's from Rovers North.

ah, just late to the party then i guess. ill have to see the going rate for the 7.5's at RN, as i have a few other items to buy first, but it seems as though scarcity comes and goes. definitely diggin them, and have not heard anything really negative except maybe the added weight.

You're still happy (as can be expected) running these on the highway?
Not to tread on Chris' response - yes but don't plan on racecar cornering abilities. They won't fold or pull off the rim, but you'll wear the crap out of them so much faster. The same applies to braking - there's a lot less rubber to shear.

Have you tried the KM3?

No. I don't think I would consider any other tire for off road other than an XZL just based on durability. I've seen a bunch of BFG and other brands have sidewalls tear off road. I'm pretty confident that will not happen with an XZL.

One other thing I hate about pretty much all new off road tires is that they look like they belong on an F250 with 22" chrome wheels or one of those bro-dozer Jeeps. Just look at this Defender. As far as I'm concerned it is a Jeep.
