Looking for a set of 5 XZLs in 7.5R16 in good condition on the East Coast. Anyone have any?
Jimmy, I might have one for you (now that I got five new ones). BTW, do you still need the Detroit?I'm looking for one for a spare if anyone has one. Any condition is fine.

school me up on these. spend a few decades in military, in maintenance unit, so familiar with the brand and type. Are these road friendly, tolerable noise? will they fit stock height? anyone use 8.25 on rovers? lots of internets info, but mainly people trying to get them, and others telling them we cant get them. i may add them to the list once i finish off my set of steelies. amazing how cheap they sell for overseas. thanks.
*bonus points for posting up your rig running on a set of xzl's.
In my experience: they are a lot less out-of-round, and a lot quieter than BFG M/T KM2s. New, they are quieter even than Michelin LTX M/S.
We just branched off from Peter the day before this pic was taken. Pic above is Peter navigating his relatively stock height disco on 32s through the rubicon! Awesome. Pic of defenders is with 8.25s. Great tire. rolls well on the freeway and damn near indestructible off road.
8.25 are most certainly not easier to come by. They are practically unobtainable.
They look so much better with the 5.5" wheels that @BenLittle has vs the 6.5" ones I have.
due to the sidewall profile? post yours up.
I have to assume these are also quite heavy, so steel wheels and these are likely a good load on a TDI?
All three 110s are lifted 3 inches or so. stick with the 7.5s in near stock trim.are those all 8.25" ? Any fitment issues with stock height, those all look lifted a bit. Plus 8.25 are a bit easier to come by as per Google.
Either way, they all look what I have in my mind a defender looks like on proper tires. thanks for sharing, that picture makes me jelly of that trip for sure.
