Madman EMS2 programming

Ok so I purchased a Madman EMS2 for my 200TDI. When I purchased the kit from them last year it came with VDO coolant temp sensor 323801. It is a 150c1/8-27 NPT. When I pulled my stock temp sensor obviously it didn’t have the right diameter. I saw the posts where guys drilled and tapped their stock sensor to accommodate this VDO.

I then saw other posts saying that the VDO sensor 323 422 in 5/8-18 UNF 120c is the correct sensor for the threads on the thermostat housing fora 200TDI. Has anyone programmed an EMS 2 to accept the 323 422? I found the temperature sensor characteristic curves for both sensors. I’m assuming I can change the resistance values in the EMS 2 to correspond to the appropriate curve?

I have a 323-026 (the one that includes a high temperature switch). IMO, it is a better fit as it is longer and puts the tip in a better place.

In any case, the EMS2 has a pre-programmed setting for the 120 C senders. Just look through the menus. It is there. They have a 150 and a 120 setting. IIRC, it says VDO120. You do not need to use a custom setup.

edit: Yes, this from the manual
Select what sender type you are using. Select VDO 120 for a VDO 120ºC or VDO 150 for a VDO 150ºC temperature sender. Select “USER” for a custom sender.
