I have not had the trouble since. I am worried that the reason it died was because it was getting low on fuel and sucked up some air when going down the hill. If this is the case, I’m not sure how to fix it since there was about 2 gallons of fuel left, and the fuel light had not come on yet.

I tested this when I installed it a few months ago.

Also, the gauge used to be spot on, but it was showing just below 1/4 tank.

Either way, the truck does seem to run a bit better. Although the pinging noise is still here..... oh well.

This happened with a friends truck. After a massive search I found fuel ever so slightly leaking from the top of the fuel filter. That was the air leak when not under pressure. We swapped it out with a new filter and that fixed the issue.
