LT230 steel sleeve?

Getting ready to rebuild my transfer case and decided to have the box sleeved while it’s disassembled. Other than the box, sleeve, and main shaft is there anything else I need to bring to the machine shop? Any tips or concerns before bringing it in to have done?

If you're going to sleeve it. Also check that shaft for roundness. if it's out of spec you're going to want to replace it.

if your input gear doesn't have cross drilling it'd be worthwhile to do that while it's out but it's probably cheaper to just replace the gear than pay for the setup time in a mill.

I ended up also doing the ATB center diff , not really because I wanted the limited slip function but because it eliminates the dished washer weak point. Maybe worth considering but does not require any extra machining.

Thanks. I looked into the ATB diff but didn’t want to spend the $. I have a new build that’s going to start soon so I’m on a little bit of a budget.

I’ll check the shaft to ensure it’s round. The input shaft is cross drilled so I should be good there.
