low clutch pedal

I had to remove my trans so I disconnected the hydraulics but now the clutch is engaging at the floor. I believe it is bled and no air is in the system. Disc, pressure plate, slave/master only have a few thousand miles on them. It's been a while since driving the truck so I don't remember where the clutch engaged before but it certainly wasn't at the bottom of the pedal. Pedal was set at ~5.5" but that was worse so I adjusted it to ~5.75". Do I need to bring it out further? Air still in the system?

This is killing me right now, my 110‘s bit point is at the floor and it’s hard to select reverse. So annoying.

very. Went through 1.5 liters of fluid to make sure there is no air in the system and didn’t help a bit

I used a motive bleeder and went through a ton of fluid also. all I could think that there was some trapped that I could not get out. Crazy how simple these are but such a PITA. I jammed a 2x4 on the pedal and left it overnight, seemed to have done the trick. That said, I also made another 50 adjustments to the Master too, but either way, I checked after I removed the 2x4 and the pedal felt way better. The LOF Master is quite nice, but not sure id go that route again as it seems to have caused me more wasted time than needed. That could be 100% my fault though.

what did the overnight 2x4 do?

R380 and standard bleed. If you think there is still trapped I can pickup an oil can and reverse bleed
Every R380 I have done I had somebody pumping the pedal while I bled it from below. LT77s like to be reverse bled. You shouldn't be having this much trouble unless you have a bad master, slave or your clutch install isn't right. Also, are you sure all your hydraulic fittings are tight?

Based on this, I’ve got my 2x4 in position right now. I assume this is with the bleeder closed other wise it would all run out? The bubbles are supposed to come to the master? I loosened the cap as well. Have to admit I’m not fully read-in on the theory here, but if some magic happens to my truck overnight then I’m down...

yup. that is the theory. i hope it works magic for yours. I can't say it was the answer, but a few good hours of screwing around with the motive and mightyvac and i still didn't feel it was done. this for an overnight gave me a better pedal feel. i also did my adjustments without the spring at first. i drove it up and down the street to get a good baseline.

Jim, let me know if this works

LOF told me that's what they do to ensure all the air is completely gone.

Thanks f

Will double check the fittings but I think they are tight
