Land Rovers That Suck

I almost feel bad because this is the product of some Ecquadoran craftsman who make probably 3 cents a day but their fabrication skills are legit. However with great power comes great responsibility. Or, just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.

Well put.
Regardless it is a solid contribution to the thread.

Actually, while we’re at it, let's acknowledge probably the suckiest Land Rover in existence. In the world of bad modifications, I think pretending your Land Rover is not a Land Rover and assigning it a new VIN is the height of sucking. The fact that Aaron Richardet (who was never charged with a crime!) is behind this venture is unsurprising. He seems to have decided years ago that he wants all Land Rovers to suck.

I like the build in that it uses GM engine versus LS

Isn't an LS a GM engine though?

I am shocked that nobody has commented on BAT about the trucks builder and his past history..

I just looked at his website.... I swear Customs will be knocking on his door again tracing the source(s) of the parts used on these builds. This is one of those moments when I bet Will H would love to share his thoughts but bites his lip....

You mean you can‘t just build a “new” car with used parts?

I decided to just leave it alone. If you‘re forking over that kind of money for a car with a bullshit VIN you deserve what you get. All the red flags are there.
weird how its make isn't land rover with that logo in the center of wheel:)

Says “Defender” across the bonnet. This is such jackassery. That guy has always been willing to do anything to make a buck or get something over on someone. He used to be the kind of dude who would buy things that were priced cheaply on the forum and then flip them to the very same forum.

It’s one thing to build a defender kit car...buying used bits from here, there etc.

But this is to organized and production line like for that.

Does anybody know if Doc Aaron is regularly building these “replicas”, or do you think it’s just a one off customer request?

This is the first one I’ve seen. Didn’t even know it was a thing.

Who is this guy?
Where are the VINs coming from? DMV assigned?
Is it legal to assemble a vehicle completely from parts?
Does the parts being new/used affect that legality?
