Just downloaded my Tech ticket off the ULS. And made my first contact on one of the local repeaters. Let the fun begin.

Best cheap ass, throw away handheld out there. Put it in a ziplock bag and it's waterproof. Drop it or loose it and your only out $23.50.

I normally don't buy cheap stuff but I would be pissed if I lost or damaged my Yaesu handheld. Sometimes you need a disposable handheld.

Yes, too a swing right after passing the tech test, and missed by 3. Should have it ready by next month test window here in eastern NC

Put up a big-ass TV antenna (which the HOA can't do anything about) and they won't notice the HAM antenna on the same mast.
