JE Motorworks latest engine conversion

They may have started out with Chevy V8 conversions of RRCs decades ago. But things change.
Now they are building Defenders with 2.3 Ford Ecoboost engines.

makes sense for europe. diesel under attack over there. 2.3 ecoboost easy 300hp/325 lb ft and good economy. likely easy packaging into the engine bay.

Did a little more digging. The Mustang comes with this engine, mated to the MT82...a version of which is the Puma's box...

That's a neat conversion actually. But why swap a TDCI for a 2.3 gas engine for $22K?

Seems a bit silly, I imagine for $3500 you can make the TDCI produce almost the same HP and twice the Torque with similar if not better economy

The styling stuff is actually quite nice but why keep a rover v8 under the hood?

I was wondering if the engine could mate up with a puma gear box directly... that would be an interesting conversation..
and from what I understand the v6 ecoboost engine is the same pattern
