Is this NAS rear X member original?

Attached picture is of a ‘97 NAS wagon.

In the picture, the X member tabs I circled in red don’t look original to me - I don’t recall the originals having tabs that extend down onto the outer face of the rear cross member.

The middle tab that I put a green square around is what I recall all of the tabs should look like.

Did LR use different style rear X members at the factory, or is it likely this truck had the cross member replaced at some point?

That's not original. That's the early style rear crossmember.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. It’s interesting because the rest of the truck is super clean and rust free from what I see so far. It must have undergone a serious refresh at some point.
