iPad mount

Looking to take my iPad (normal size current generation) with me off road-I can't believe or trust a suction cup mount can do the job reliably. It's used for mapping trails etc.
What are people using to mount theirs?

We use Pivotcase at work and I also use it in my truck. Other companies use Ram Mount. Both are suction cup based and work fabulous.

I haven't used it, but the SDO catalog had a bar that went across the front dash and was supposed to be compatible with the RAM mounts (which everyone thinks highly of).

I have the dash dock-sdo’s Bar that goes across the dash. Good piece of kit. Mounts into 3 existing points on dash. Not a hand hold, but very good for my phone and iPad mini(map display) in ram x grips.

Been looking at a way to mount one myself. Ultimately I think I may end up creating something and using this Land Rover mount that was intended for headrest mounting, but Rovers North has a Billet Aluminum plate that replaces the Ashtray and becomes a solid mounting place to bolt a RAM or similar to mount to.

And I also came across this 3D Printer mount for the same spot, though not sure stable or durable the 3D printed version would be verses he (much more expensive) aluminum mount..

There is an earlier thread discussing the Rovers North Mount..
