Howdy from Montana!

Hey there everyone - just thought I'd introduce myself. My wife and I are from Montana, but we spent the last two years living in Botswana, and traveling all over Africa in our 1992 200Tdi Defender 110. When we came back to the States we decided to ship her over with us.

The truck got here in September, and I'm really looking forward to all the winter projects I've got planned for the old girl, and I hope to share some of my experiences here (as well as learn some new tricks!). Her name, unapologetically and without irony, is Toto.

A little bit more about us, we're @venturesomeoverland on Instagram and Facebook. If you are a subscriber to Alloy+Grit or Overland Journal, you may have already seen Toto yourself. Julie's article about our travels in Africa in A+G came out in the Fall 2019 issue, and my article on crossing border posts in OJ was also in the Fall 2019 issue.

Took this photo somewhere in Namibia:
