Hot water pressure washers?

I am looking to purchase a pressure washer to maintain my house and outbuildings.

I wonder if the hot water models are worth their cost. The high eaves and dormers of my house are tough to clean off a ladder. Is a long pressure washer pole and hot water machine the answer or should I save my money for a lift?
any pressure washer gurus care to comment ?

We have a Hotsy diesel heated. It was a little costly, but at 165 degrees water, it will take most things off easily.

We've never used it on the house other than brick or vinyl soffitt. It melts oil and grime off of 70 year old frames easily. The heat is adjustable, and the pump is electic powered so its not that powerful(1850 psi), the steam really cleans. Im sure you'll have play with the thermostat to find the proper setting. In mour case the Hosty dealer told us what temps for cars, and what temps for the soffitt...
