Headliner Replace or Remove

Happy New Year to everyone. I'm in the process of buying a 110. The headliner is trash! Is it worth the money to replace it? Or am I better off to remove it and have a metal roof?? Is there a big difference in noise and insulation? I live in a cold climate, so the insulation is important to me. Just trying to decide if it's worth the $$$$$. Thank you.

It’s very loud without a headliner in my opinion. It cuts noise dramatically. Get it redone or buy a replacement one. A redo will be cheaper, though.

For $210 + shipping I can supply you with Genuine Ripple Grey headliner material and you can have the biscuit recovered. It's a fraction of the cost of a replacement.

Well worth doing as it does help with sound insulation and temperature control of the interior.

I have supplied this material to many members here on NAS/ROW.

Great feedback. Thank you. The recovering route seems much more reasonable. Do you have an idea what the labor generally runs? Unfortunately I'm in a remote part of CO and don't have access to many options for the labor.

Yeah, you really need a headliner or you will experience condensation, and that really sucks.

I had my 110 re-done with Scott's (CDN38's) material in November at Sonny's Upholstery in Phoenix. While it was out, the shop Dynamatted the roof and four doors. The total to Sonny for the labor and the Dynamat material was $2000. It looks fantastic, and Scott was a pleasure to deal with. (So was Sonny btw; nice family-run business doing solid work.)
