The look alone doesn't disappointed me at all, we all love boxy design thingy.

I'm glad that I held my wife off to get a G-wagon or new Defender V8. This is going to be my next modern defender that I could spend more time driving than wrenching, Lol.

Hopefully the delivery time goes very smooth especially in North America market.

My guess is BMW will be their distributor in US and Canada since it has bmw engine to start with already.

It's looking better all the time. Something about the new prototypes make it look more... something. Acceptable?
I had to sell my Defender to get my G, and everything about the Grenadier says: Looks like a Defender, built like a GWagen. So maybe it really is the car for my future. ...I just hope the price isn't too astronomical! But I suspect it will start at $80k or higher.
I am in agreement. Fills a gap here in the US for a rugged type SUV that will look tough picking up the groceries. Most of my vehicles I buy for utility I never or rarely use, but was left wanting after my Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel.

They are still holding on the $45k start price. Not sure if that's likely (hopefully), but should be lower than 80...

I freaking LOVE where this project of theirs is going. Even though I like the new Defender, I would take the Grenadier over it. I just hope they sell them here in Canada.

It's not just that. There are plenty of options for utilitarian working vehicles in truck form. There are none in SUV form anymore. They've all been converted into chic status symbols.
Yeah. When my G (1998) gets too old, even the Merc quality will be difficult to keep on the road without getting annoying. I plan on watching the new Defenders for my daily driver -- when they do a facelift, and if the long term reviews are good -- or getting something like an early 2000s G. Any G that is newer than that gets too blingy for my taste. They are quality, and they have done a much better job of keeping the heritage than Land Rover has, but ugh... they are a lot of bling.

However, if the Grenadier is on the market, if it is as good as it looks in this latest video, and if I can afford it, it's officially on my watch list now.

Without even seeing it, I can safely say the Grenadier is what the New Defender should have been. Land Rover spent the last 10 years telling us it was impossible to build this car. With every turn of events, the current Defender solidifies it's spot as what should have been the new Disco. Sad. And too bad that they seem to be going the right direction with it, just on the wrong track!

There are too many open questions to support a launch in 2021. Dealership, service, production, final testing, as well as approvals for import / export. Although disappointing I am still holding off any new purchases until this is finalized.

The Rona has screwed up a lot of well laid plans.

Watched that earlier today. It’s getting very real….
Only concern I can see is the very low intake to the radiator or intercooler positioned under the front bumper.,

From D Source:

We'll have the INEOS Automotive Grenadier 001 Prototype at our shop on Wednesday May 26th and wanted to find a way to invite some of the local 4x4 Groups to check it out.

I'd like to extend an invite to join us for a happy-hour timed cars-and-coffee on Wednesday, May 26th, at the Commonwealth Classics shop here in Marshall VA. Lost Whiskey Distillery will be on site with their converted Airstream Whiskey Bar and their BBQ setup to serve food + drink, and the Silver 001 vehicle seen in INEOS' media over the past year will be parked outside.

I posted this same message over on the Capital Land Cruiser Club site, and we've also extended an invite to the DC Jeepers.

That thing is going to cause a super-spreader event amongst enthusiasts. IIRC INEOS is also planning a global tour with more test vehicles.

I wish it were just a little closer to my side of the country. I would love to check it out in person! This is an easy truck to get excited about.

I think some beefy headlight guards would finish off the look a bit. It kind of reminds me of a Santana.

Did you get a look underneath?

I agree. It was better than I expected. I don’t think it’s as photogenic as a series or a defender. I think it would look better in a darker color and without the plastic accents and gadgets. There’s a lot there to pick a part if driven to do so but I think overall they’ve done a good job and it will improve if they listen.
