I made more progress on getting things put together and organized last summer but didn’t update pix. With the mirror hung in the bathroom, I finally have one full complete room. The kitchen and living room space is finally mostly clear of boxes and random crap so it can be somewhat enjoyed. I had the same company that made the coffee table build a leg-less cabinet with only one board on top to create a recessed media unit.
One of the decorative elements that I was most excited about finally got installed, these are “Featherbeams” from a company of the same name. All the iron work is made from grey-molded PVC, the same stuff you can find in white at Home Depot for house exterior trim/moldings etc. The Featherbeams team fabricated the columns/tops/gussets and the lengths of “angle iron” with rivets in their shop in Connecticut and shipped it all out in a big crate. The install consisted of nailing up sheet goods with the columns and angle-iron bits to create the look of metal structure. It is pretty convincing right up to when you touch it. I’m really satisfied with the finished look especially combined with the faux brick.
