Fullriver batteries

Has anybody used Fullriver brand batteries?

I'm looking for a pair of group 94R batteries for my other truck (Ram 2500) and I'm finding two choices: the Odyssey ODP-AGM94R and a Fullriver Full Throttle FT850-94R.

If you know me, you know that I'm all about the Odyssey batteries but I should note that their group 94R batteries are not the Extreme series that I've had such great luck with. They're cheaper. These Fullrivers are more expensive and have slightly better specs and warranty. Wondering if anybody has used them and can share their experiences.

Call me biased, but for something so operationally critical, I favor a proven product over anything new.
Also look at the MSDS sheets revealing country of origin

Semi related, but I want to try a lithium battery in my 110

I’ve thought about it but you really need a charge controller in front of them to maintain them at proper levels. I assume somebody makes one but not sure who.

Pros and cons On Lithiums but if you live in cold, you can’t charge a frozen battery (Below about 38 degrees). So you need a smart front end controller and running in a way to warm it and it adds more cost. but if someone wants to try, Go for it! Let us know how it goes! And pass on your impressions and things you may do differently. Love to know. Personally, good batteries are fairly expensive on their own and LiFePO4 cost over twice (probably more with proper set up). All goes well, does everything the same. I personally would go Odyssey and mine have done very well. I’m biased because of the 25 years I’ve run them.

Today's 7 degree temp in Philly just proved that my battery is not up to snuff. I couldn't start my 110 at all after firing the glow plugs, 3/4/5 times after a few tries. Pretty sure the battery is shot now too (on a trickle charger too). The craziest thing is the oil pan heater I have is usually ~200 degrees just outside of the actual pad (using a laser infrared thermometer) after 30-40 min. It was on today for 4 hours, infrared said ~85 degrees!

Thinking I need a new battery. Will jump with Wifey's GTI tomorrow, but annoyed to have to stand in the driveway with a hairdryer for 45 min to get the drivers' door open.

LR4 battery shit today. 2016 factory branded battery. I need to check the date to see if the PO replaced.

I see Northstar is no longer making consumer batteries, and my batt warehouse now carries fullriver. I may try one out. Anyone have any opinions on h7 or h8 LR4 batteries before I give this a shot?

I gave up on trying to get any Odyssey or Fullriver (or even Costco) H7/94R AGM batteries. Every AGM battery is like 3+ months backordered. I happened to find a pair of (very overpriced) AGMs at O'Reillys so I bought those for the Ram.

I may drive up to the Deka/East Penn company store and grab one of their AGM's, nice to see some in house mfg still close.

Got a Duracell branded flooded group 31 battery for my 110 from Batteries Plus the other day, found 2 online coupon codes, $171 after tax, etc. "Tyler" who was working the counter had a real issue with my putting a "Marine" battery into a non-boat. He also had a bit too much of an issue with the fact that a UK market TDI vehicle wasn't in his computer to verify the fit. He was adamant that it had the wrong engine in it for a 1994 Range Rover. Apparently "incompatible parts can blow up an engine". :D

Deka didn't have the H8 AGM in stock at that moment, so I punted and bought an AC Delco AGM for $176 from Amazon. My LR4 oe battery was dead, but I think after a night on the noco it seems fine, and hasn't given me trouble in almost 2 weeks but I'll throw this in and see how it goes. Either way I can use in the 130 or LR4.

Couldnt believe how cheap it was. Price up to $181, but still a good price. Couldnt figure out who makes the battery for them.
