Hi all -

I'm helping my dad sell his old Benz and while I posted on a few MB forums, I'd thought I'd share here in case someone is interested in complementing their slightly rough around the edges Defender with an "almost classic" luxury sedan.

If this isn't allowed here, then please delete, but in case you all are wondering, here are the details....

I am offering for sale an excellent condition 2002 Mercedes Benz S430 (W220) in Brilliant Silver Metallic and Charcoal (black) leather. This rear-wheel drive luxury sedan was purchased new by my father in February 2002 from David McGeorge Mercedes Benz dealership in Richmond, VA (now known as Mercedes of Richmond). He has been the sole owner since new and it's been garage kept in Chester, VA with the odometer just reaching 124,400 miles. Never been smoked in and accident free.

Interior
The carpet is in immaculate condition, namely because we've used the MB original all-weather floor mats since new. All electronics, including the 6 disc CD changer, navigation system, seat heaters, seat adjustments, moonroof and more are in working order. The leather looks and feels so nice, despite being a 20 year old machine.

Exterior
The Brilliant Silver Metallic paint is in very good condition with some minor blemishes consistent with age. There are a few spots of paint chips and, similarly, the 16" alloy wheels are in very good condition with some minor curb rash. All in all, it's an 8 out of 10. I know this is subjective, but when you come and see the car, I hope you'll agree with that honest assessment.

Drivetrain
The 4.3 liter V8 engine produces 275 HP and pulls strong getting to 60 mph in about 7 seconds. Whether you're at 30 mph or 60 mph or 80 mpg, the air suspension makes it feel like you're riding on the clouds. The 7 speed transmission is very smooth and is responsive when you hit the gas.

Included original / OEM items
*2 keys
*All owners manuals
*First aid kit
*Navigation CDs
*Car cover

Additionally, we have detailed service records. I can't guarantee this is everything, but they date back from the early 2000s with appointments handled by McGeorge Mercedes Benz and Import Autohaus, a premier Mercedes specialty shop in Richmond.

I know this car will give its 2nd owner plenty of years of luxury driving ahead. Please email with any questions.

Curvy, no rattles, complicated, powerful, luxurious, easy driving, inexpensive. The polar opposite of a Defender. I'd like to own an S class someday if it fit my vehicle uses. Really enjoyed my E350.
