Extended radiator panel question

Is an extended radiator panel for installing an upgrade radiator?
Or is it only for A/C or adding electric cooling fans?
I am replacing my radiator with new when I change the engine in my 110.
Is an extended radiator panel going to be necessary?

It can be - especially if running full width intercooler in front of full width radiator, or adding transmission oil cooler.

It was designed to accommodate the AC coils.

If you ended up with the 200tdi and are staying with the LT77 in the standard position you have about a mile of extra room between the fan and the radiator - so no extended panel is needed.

A full width radiator, the Allisport for example, will require the extended panel. If you dont want it you will have to trim off about 1 cm of the original style panel on the bottom of the opening just below where the bottom of the grill is located.

There should be enough room for any extra fans behind the radiator of you want to go electric.
