engine swap (starting with 2.25L)

a friend of mine has a 3.5L V8 motor/transmission out of his 110 that he isn't going to use anymore. I would love to get rid of my 2.25L but also don't want to start a huge project without knowing what I am getting into

It's bigger than you think. Motor mounts, crossmember, seat box and floors. Definitely not a drop in swap like a 200Tdi would be.

Putting it in a 1084 defender 90

I have an engine adapter that will bolt the V8 right up to your current transmission.
Will make the job a lot easier.
I may even have the mounts as well.

How many miles is on your 2.25?
Maybe we can work out a trade.
