Edlebrock

The where does this go photo that should be a plug it goes no where.

So the hose connector in the back of the manifold is blocked off? This goes no where? I thought it went to the heater.

And if I get this where would I run the smaller hose on the bottom and top of the elbow to? The original 3.5L has no hose attachments in those 2 places.

The more I look at the Edelbrock manifold the more confused I am. I reread Uncle Douglas’s explanation but it seems there are some hoses unaccounted for from the original 3.5 Rover intake manifold.

I know the one on the left marked red runs under the manifold to the back but what about the right one marked yellow? The Edelbrock manifold has no such attachment. I know Uncle D said he reused his original thermostat housing, which has no other hose attachments besides the big one off the elbow. Where do I attach the hose from the water pump if the Edelbrock doesn’t provide the attachment marked in yellow?

You are correct the one on the back goes to the heater. I was reffering to the fitting installed on to of the manifold jut forward and to the right of the carb. That is plugged not used. The other heater line runs under the maifold and connects to the right side spud on water pump (your left while looking into engine bay). What you have circled in yellow is not on the Elelbrock manifold so that is why you need the new housing with a spud that needs to connect to the othet waterpump port. Zoom in on my pics and you can see the "S" shaped hoses needed to connect to the water pump. That was the hardest to resolve. Message me you email address and I can send you pics of my installation later today if you need more info.

Thanks for the clarification. Message inbound. Man I don’t see how Uncle D is reusing the old thermostat housing.

there are different water pumps based on the year, some have two outlets at the back and some have one. My project had two so I routed the right one (as you face the engine) to the new thermostat housing and the left one under the manifold using the original pipe (which no longer will bolt to the manifold of course).
