Door Seals

I need to replace the worn out door seals on the 110. What's the best place to get them and genuine, britpart, other brand or does it really matter? Mine are torn, bent and rusty so they really need to go.

Thanks,
Alex

I just installed new Britpart lower door seals from LRDirect this past weekend. My lower door seals are the type that mount to the actual sill themselves rather than the door. They fit perfect, nice quality, and were predrilled for the rivets that hold them on.

If you have the same type it was part number MWC6130 for the seal, and 78248 for the pop rivets. I think the part number supercedes to ALR6250, but I didn't want to risk getting the wrong item. They were only $5 a piece.

I have a full set of britpart seals from LRdirect for a 5 door. I will be going a different route with my series and am looking to sell these, if you're interested shoot me a PM and let's make a deal.

My door seals are pretty worn on my D90, so I got a set of very lightly used aftermarket front seals from a friend. I put them on and they are worse than the originals. Part of the problem is door alignment, but new seals shouldn't be worse than originals. I would go with Genuine.

I recall somewhere you can retro fit the newest versions. The holes for install don't line up but you put new holes in the new seals to align with the mounting points on your old rover. If that makes sense.
