Door Dent Removal

Had some NAS doors arrive damaged via LTL transport despite being packaged with wood framing and instructions not to stack...argh. Is there a chance I can reclaim these by having the dents pounded out? I gotta believe the answer is yes but are there special considerations with aluminum I guess is my question. Thanks.

OMG looks like they were left outside in a hail storm. Have you tried one of those pointless dent repair places?

Thus far I've just tossed em in the basement corner so I don't have to look at em.. I'll research the pointless repair option, thx!

Random suggestion. Put a piece of dry ice on the dent and see if you can shrink it back. My buddy did it on his kids Neon that got hit with hail and it worked pretty well.

Kevin, Let me know what you find out. I bought a set of half doors from a member, waited 6 months, and they arrived basically useless. Similar, packed in wood crate but the window crank from the door above made indentations in the door below on each one. Threw in shed, don't even want to deal with it.

Heya Scott,.. ya frustrating for sure. I'll keep you posted on the pointless repair. If these guys can tackle hail damage then I'm confident they can get many of em out.

Its a Defender so you don't want all the dents out..just wouldn't look right. 😉
