Difference in transfer boxes?

Recently changed out my existing gear box & transfer box with a used set (unknown history) that I have had for a few years. No changes were made to the 200tdi engine. I have never separated the installed set. There was/is a noticeable lack of power in the lower gears compared to the old set & I feel like it cruises better than the old one on the freeway at 70, unless I hit an incline & it under performs like the lower gears. Barring a rebuild, what is the difference between the two transfer boxes pictured? One has a 1.222 ratio & the other has a 1.211 ratio. Would it be enough to notice or do I have something else going on? The 1.211 is the transfer box that is under powered & currently installed.

Depending on the gearbox you swapped, I believe there's a variety of gearing differences on those as well. So you could have a mixture of both

There were multiple versions of the LT77 with different internal gearing depending on engine (2.5 NA to tdi to V8). Think military units got their own gearing with lower first and second as well.

The old LT77 - 51A0078622G (It could be 51A0078 "8" 22G)

The "new" LT77 - 56A0125137H Then below that is another stamp - C30149

So it looks like there isn't an actual problem - I just need to expect less power in the hills & enjoy the flats? That's unfortunate, I'm surrounded by mountains. Is the second stamp on the installed LT77 indicating a rebuild or gearing change?

Nope, I would say that you're just losing a little of acceleration, but you're gaining better cruising rpms. Not sure about the 2nd number, possibly a rebuild stamping.
You could always change to a 1.4 box, that is what a 200tdi 110 should have anyways
