Additives might make a good thread all on its own. Not at a place where I can read the spreadsheet but we should have an entry area. I plan on adding injector cleaner after I do my oil and fuel filter change in a couple hundred miles.

Anyone with experience with this companys products? http://stanadyneadditives.com/
This product in particular http://stanadyneadditives.com/injector-cleaner/
The stanadyne injector cleaner worked beautifully in my truck. I could tell my engine was struggling/getting tired when it was getting warm. Since I used that, it is a different engine. It even got less noisy.
I've also started to use this thing

I'm guessing you are using the AR9100 product in the engine. Have you used it in your gear box?
I have a pretty noisy gearbox and was wondering about adding something as I am about to change fluids.
I'm also interested in transfer case additives.

33s, 1.2, 200tdi, two door soft top 110, boost pin, injector tips, timing advanced = 32 mpg on flats highway

35s, 1.4,200tdi two door soft top 110, boost pin, Injector tips, timing standard = 25mpg flats highway but less overall

Lt77 on both

So I did 3/4 of a tank on highway at 60-65, moderately loaded, and mostly flat, and got 19.5 mpg.

I've used it in my last oil change and also I use the fuel additive regularly. Haven't used it in my gear box yet, but it's coming. Also in the differential.
I'm telling you, when the engine is idle it doesn't even make the typical diesel tractor noise anymore. And the amount of smoke my truck produces when I start it is significantly diminished.

My wife would be happy, when I leave the neighborhood the smoke can be pretty heavy for the first block when the temps are cool.
I'm going to add something to both fuel and oil within the next two weeks as I have my oil change coming up and I have to change my output bearings and flange on my transfer box. Just waiting on parts from the UK now.

After just completing an 8800 mile road trip with a loaded up 300Tdi powered 110 with a 1.4 xfer case, here are my numbers.
Around town 18ish MPG
Highway doing 55-60 I saw a few tanks of 25mpg but 23mpg was the norm
Highway doing 70ish I saw 20mpg

Interesting. Thanks for updating. On the two highway trips I've logged, I got 19.5 and 20 mpg on medium to high loaded 110.

Dave, at those various speeds listed, what kind of RPM's are you pulling with that 1.4 TC ? At 2200 rpm's with my 1.2 TC I'm getting ~22-23 MPG.

Do you think you could run a 1.2 TC effectively in the heavier 110 and drop the rpms?

I've been keeping track on an app on my phone, I'm currently at 19.9 mpg overall, 9000 miles tracked.

Lots of things other than just gearing play into mpg. Height, roof rack, crap on the rack, width of your tires, alignment, tire pressure, intake/exhaust restriction, weight, etc all have impact. Gearing down helps overcome some of the above as far as keeping the engine in its torque band and gearing up lowers rpm on the highway but it doesnt overcome the other issues. Hard to compare mileage truck to truck given how differently we all use them/set them up. Dave's truck seems to be dialed in well.

Drove our v8 90 with lift and 12.5 x35's down to Uwharrie towing the sankey camping trailer, mostly interstate, held 70 as best we could. 10 mpg

Yeah, I also know that I have a leak of some type in my fuel tank. Maybe worth .5 mpg? Who knows.

I almost always run fairly low weight, I have Thule bars, standard gearing with 235/85r16 AT tires. Most of my driving is mixed. I get about 22+ on 100% highway.
